Peter Benoit - Joseph Ryelandt - Mathias Coppens

Four years of quartet. Hours spent reading scores, rehearsing, searching and gnawing on the tiniest of details. The four of us. In a sweltering attic, in a cosy classroom in a music school, in a cramped living room with the furniture moved to the side, in a freezing church. On a Sunday morning, Friday evening, Tuesday afternoon. On a masterclass in Prague, Paris, Compiègne, Roussillon. The four of us. Hours of travel, hours of conversation, planning and dreaming out loud.

This CD is the realisation of one of our dreams, a crystallization of hard work and our years together.

We connect a bubbling Benoit to a sensitive Ryelandt and conclude with a brand new piano quintet by the new kid on the block: a swinging, vibrant Coppens.
